Stewardship and Generosity During a Global Pandemic

How Your Giving Provides COVID-19 Relief
Your generosity is directly fueling the mission of God among our communities, and because of you, The Summit Church has committed $350,000 to benevolence and serving our community during the COVID-19 outbreak. Here are some of the ways that we have been able to care for our neighbors to meet real needs, develop timely discipleship resources, and minister to those who are suffering.
- In early April, our ServeRDU team connected with over 300 families who had no access to affordable housing and didn’t know where their next meal would come from. We were able to give generously and donate $25,000 to our local partners who will connect these families to our restorative housing program and care partners, and supply food for them in the weeks ahead.
- We have been able to supplement those who do not have access to the CARES Act, food banks, or housing relief by delivering food to them for short-term relief and connecting them to our benevolence team for long-term care.
- We've also been able to provide emergency housing for Summit missionaries who had to return unexpectedly due to COVID-19-related circumstances.
- Our church planting team has been able to develop resources for church planters, such as a COVID-19-centric Bible study and free online resources for reaching their neighbors in the nations where they serve while they are under quarantine.
For more information on organizations we are partnering with and how you can get involved, see this article from our ServeRDU team.
