The Director of Facilities will work closely with the Executive Pastor to set and execute strategy relative to the appearance, maintenance and efficient operation of the church’s owned and leased buildings and grounds. The position will be primarily responsible for ensuring facilities are ready at all times to serve their intended purposes. The position is also responsible for developing and ensuring execution of a schedule of maintenance activities and improvements and ensuring a consistently high level of organization and appearance at all times. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of all major building systems and be excellent at prioritizing, planning and managing completion of small to large building construction projects.

Summit College HBCU Director

Full Time

This position exists primarily to train and equip Summit College staff and Student Leaders to effectively disciple college students on minority campuses. This position will help equip staff to reach minorities on other major university campuses through casting vision, developing curriculum/resources, and coaching staff.

In addition, this position will specifically direct the overall movement of Summit College and the Go Now Initiative, leading large group gatherings like SC United and the retreats, and shepherding the Summit College staff.

Church Planting Resident

A Church Planting Residency is a full-time, nine-month position at The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham for lead planters. Participants receive a realistic experience of life and ministry in a church planting church while preparing to plant a church in North America. Residents receive assessment, training, and ongoing coaching through the Summit Network while recruiting a team, fundraising, and developing their strategy for the future plant. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be sent out to plant.

Summit Ministry Internship

The Summit Ministry Internship (SMI) is a nine-month, 20-hours-per-week support raising position intended for men and women who are exploring a call to ministry. The program combines focused training, hands-on experience, and intentional mentorship to help participants grow in their leadership ability and clarify their calling. Upon completion of the program participants will possess valuable ministry experience, a meaningful relationship with Summit staff members, and better understanding of their calling.

Whether you’re a man called to pastor or a woman called to church ministry, understanding the importance of training is your first step toward a life of healthy and effective ministry. The apprenticeship is an intensive, two-year training experience that offers significant hands-on ministry experience, weekly training, and mentorship by seasoned church leaders. The apprenticeship is a support raising position up to 35 hours per week.
