Blue Ridge Students | Volunteer Opportunities

Oct 20, 2020 | By Kaycee Browning

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Blue Ridge Student Ministries! Below, you’ll find some details concerning the expectations and experiences for volunteers.

Participation and Serving

Throughout the year, Summit Students hosts a variety of events ranging from worship nights to picnics to color wars. Volunteers are encouraged to serve as many gatherings as they can make! This provides the students with a familiar and friendly face and allows them to better connect with their leaders.

The church is called to live in community so that we can learn, grow, and serve one another. Small group leaders- a group made up almost entirely of volunteers- are truly the heart of student ministry. They guide the students through Scripture and provide students with a stable peer group for community. Small groups meet once a week. A curriculum is provided to all volunteer leaders.

As part of our goal to raise up a generation that loves Christ, our neighbors, and our world, we encourage students to engage with the local and global mission of God. Opportunities will be posted here as they arise. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to lead mission trips alongside the staff team.
