Awana

Partnering with families to raise a generation for Christ

What Are Awana Clubs?

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” - 2 Timothy 2:15 (ESV) Awana Clubs at the Summit is a program offered at many of our campuses that enables us to partner with families in growing spiritually strong kids and raising a generation for Christ. We want kids to be Scripture-rich, with a desire to love God, love each other, and love our world. It is our desire to reinforce the gospel in each child’s life and deepen their understanding of biblical truths by learning God’s Word.

Frequently Asked Questions

Awana Clubs are designed for kids 3 years old by September 1 through 4th grade.
We allocate Summit Kids budget toward Awana Clubs, but it does not cover the full cost of all our supplies for the entire school year (books, shirts/vests, awards). The amount we charge is only to help us shoulder the costs for the budget year.
We want to invite caregivers to embrace the discipleship identities of “servant” and “family member.” Please serve! Some leaders will serve every week, and we ask every parent to substitute at least twice each semester. As part of the “family member” identity, families are invited to spend 20 minutes each week reviewing and memorizing verses with their kids, and the kids will then quote their memorized verses when they come to Awana Clubs. If your child(ren) has not memorized their verse, that’s OK! We welcome them to come and dive into Scripture with us!
Our program runs for a traditional school year (September through April).
