Staff Meetings
At the Summit, we hold a variety of staff meetings throughout the year. Some are required for the entire staff, others are specific to certain roles, and some are one-time trainings. To help manage this more effectively, we’ve added color-coding to distinguish meeting types, a button to review the agenda, and options to RSVP and add the meeting to your calendar. All of these are managed through content channels by our central admin team responsible for staff meetings.
Audience - As mentioned, not every meeting is relevant to every staff member. We’ve built functionality that shows or hides meetings based on your staff role. Additionally, certain staff trainings will only appear if you haven’t completed them yet. We’ve also accounted for events and meetings specifically for women on staff, which will be hidden from male staff members. All of this has been thoughtfully integrated into this section.
RSVP - As staff, we are required to RSVP for all staff meetings—regardless of whether we can attend. If we’re unable to attend a meeting, supervisor approval is required. The RSVP button allows you to indicate your attendance, note any dietary restrictions or allergies when food is provided, and update your RSVP if your plans change. For certain meetings, the RSVP window will close in advance to allow time for food orders.
Agenda - This provides a quick overview of the day’s schedule and the topics that will be covered during the meeting.
Quick Links
This section allows an easy way to highlight various pages we want our staff to frequent.
My Dashboard - In my opinion, this is generally one of the least utilized pages in Rock. Instead, we have found ourselves cramming things on our home page that really are better intended for the My Dashboard page.
Weekend Services - This page is controlled by various staff who oversee weekend services and communications. This houses content from who is preaching, the topic/sermon, and announcements.
Staff Transitions - This page highlights staff who have been hired recently, any staff who are moving into different roles on staff, and finally anyone who is leaving staff.
Celebrations
In this section, we want to celebrate the birthdays, wedding anniveraries, and work anniversaries. Each type of celebration displays a celebration when the staff member who is logged in has one of these occassions. The other features include a picture, date, notice of the year or age of the person, and includes a way to send them a message letting them know you are celebrating with them!
Staff Values Award Winner
We have five main staff values:
- We pray first, second, and third.
- We take the mission seriously, but not ourselves.
- We believe the best about one another.
- We remain first-generation.
- We prioritize people as the mission.
- We seek out godly criticism and pour out godly affirmation.
Throughout the month staff are encouraged to nominate someone who embodies one or more of those values. Our leadership team (manages this section) selects a winner at least once a month, and highlights them for the rest of the staff which includes a small token of appreciation.
Quick Tips from Ministry Support
This section allows anyone who is in a Ministry Support leadership role to post tips, tricks, and/or best practices. These teams include Human Resources, Finance, IT, Rock, and many more.
