Summer of Wonder

June 24-27, 2019

Our entire Summit family is excited to give our attention to the children of RDU for VBS this summer! It will be a week of crafts, games, and music that your kids don't want to miss! We prioritize safety and security, low teacher-to-child ratios, and open communication with all parents for the best experience possible.

Most importantly, VBS will be a look into God’s Word. Our theme this year is "Summer of Wonder," and we'll be teaching about life in creation and the love of the Creator. Thursday will not be a drop-off day, but a time for you to stay with your kids and see what they’ve been doing during the week. We can't wait to see you there!

What age group is VBS for?

Preschool VBS is for kids 4 years old* through rising kindergarteners. Elementary school VBS is for kids who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade.

We recommend allowing your elementary schooler to attend the night session. There are two main reasons for this: we believe your elementary schooler will get more out of the week, and this location is most likely closer to your home. Focus with them on inviting friends (schoolmates, teammates, neighbors, family members) who don’t know the gospel, and celebrate with them when some are able to attend!
There will be childcare for kids of volunteers (6 weeks through pre-K)! We work very hard to make sure your preschooler will enjoy their childcare experience!
At the preschool session, the serving age begins at completed 5th grade. At the night sessions, it will vary by campus. Please contact your Summit Kids staff member for specific questions about students serving. All standard security protocols will be followed.
Yes! We want to partner with all our families for VBS, so please communicate with your Summit Kids staff member about any special needs that your kids have and we will work together with you to make sure it’s an enjoyable experience for them!
No! It’s free :)
Yes! All kids must register for this event to attend.
Parents can check kids in Monday - Wednesday and choose to serve with us or pick their kids up at the end of the session. Thursday will be a day where you attend WITH your kids! It will be a family-friendly atmosphere and everyone will have a blast! Then we finish our week by attending a service on Saturday or Sunday with our friends at one of our campus locations.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Summit Kids staff member at your campus and they will be happy to help! If you aren’t sure who your Summit Kids staff member is, then feel free to email our Summit Kids Pastor, Josh Navey.
