The Church’s Task

God is making a great name for himself among the nations, and he has called all Christians to be an active part of his mission. At The Summit Church, our goal is to see 1,000 churches planted in a generation. It is our firm belief that every member of the church can be a part of this task.

Every Member Has a Role

Every member at The Summit Church has the opportunity to participate in the work the Lord is doing overseas. First and foremost, every Christian can pray. Pray for the lost who have never heard the gospel and pray for the missionaries who God has called to take the gospel to these distant places. Second, every Christian can give. Every time you give to the church, a portion of your gift goes to see the gospel advanced to the nations. Finally, you can go. Go to the mission field yourself, either on a short-term trip or as a long-term missionary.

Explore Short-term Sending

Thank you for considering a short-term mission trip with the Summit. This is more than an overseas trip. We are boldly asking God to give us the promise he made to Jesus in Psalm 2:8: “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance” (NIV). You are part of the answer to that prayer.

Requirements to Go Short-term

To ensure successful short-term trips that are beneficial for our field partners as well as those on the team, individuals applying for Summit short-term trips should meet the following requirements:

Be a follower of Christ,
Be a member or regular attendee of The Summit Church, and
Demonstrate an understanding of the gospel and how it propels us to go to the nations.

Upcoming Short-term Trips

Going Long-term

At the Summit, we define a long-term assignment as any assignment that lasts two years or more. These assignments can include being fully funded by a sending organization, going through a sending organization but raising your own funding, or using your job, education, or retirement to serve on an international church planting team.

A Case for Collaboration

Here at The Summit Church, we have a vision to plant 1,000 churches in a generation. As we pursue this vision, we are learning a lot and recognize we have even more to learn. We do not believe that our vision should or will be accomplished in isolation from other churches, so we’ve created this page to share what we are learning and to collaborate with you. We believe this vision to plant churches is a God-given mandate for all churches, and we want to do it with others. Together we can accomplish more!
