Description
For time eternal, one aspect of culture which doesn’t seem to escape even the Christian church is the drive to elevate performance. Paul’s letter to the Galatians challenges this by calling us to think, reflect, and examine which gospel we rely on today — the gospel of Christ-alone or the gospel of Christ-plus. Paul, called by the grace of Christ on the road to Damascus to be an apostle, teaches the true gospel, that we are justified by faith alone, not by works, and that our justification rests on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Galatians reminds us that Christ has truly set us free to live a life of holiness, freed from the bondage to our sinful nature, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul encourages us to use this freedom to serve and love one another not because of performance but by our recognition of the supremacy of the gospel of grace. This seven-week study is designed for you to spend about 2 hours each week studying scriptures and taking time for prayerful reflection as you work through the questions. Then you will come together for a facilitated discussion with other men from the West Cary Campus.
Registration for Galatians - Friday closed on 2/8/2025.
