National Adoption Month / Orphan Sunday
November is National Adoption Month. Orphan Sunday is November 8th.
Throughout the narrative of scripture, God has consistently commanded his people to care for the vulnerable as a way of demonstrating his character and his gospel to the world. We believe that every Christ follower has a role to care for orphans, widows, and the defenseless as an avenue to proclaim the gospel. The purpose of this ministry is to encourage and support the care of orphans and foster children by receiving them into the homes and lives of our church members. This includes:
- Teaching on orphan care.
- Resourcing families adopting and fostering, including a mentoring program.
- Matching grants for adopting families through Lifesong fund.
- Loving and supporting families who have adopted and/or are fostering.
- International trips to partner orphanages.
