THIS WEEK IN SUMMIT KIDS
God the Pursuer - Hosea, Prophet To Israel
Bible Passage: Hosea 1–14
Main Point: God loves people who do not love Him back.
- Preschool: God (point fingers up) loved (give yourself a hug) us (2 thumbs to chest) and sent (point one finger out) his son (rock baby in arms). 1 John 4:10
- Elementary: Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster. Joel 2:13
Big Picture Question: What is God like? God is merciful and loving.
Christ Connection: Gomer did not love Hosea with all her heart. She did things that made Hosea sad, but Hosea still loved Gomer. God’s people do not love God with all their hearts. We do things that make God sad, but God still loves us. He showed us His love by sending Jesus to be our Savior.
