Summit Prayer

Prayer comes first. And second. And third.

Jesus said we’re to be known as a house of prayer. Are we?

As we turn the corner and begin a new year, our dependence on God seems as obvious as ever. In new ways, we feel the reality of Jesus’ words “… apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 ESV) We as a church, and as individuals, can do nothing apart from God’s work.

For that reason, we want to start the year by having our church family come together for 21 days of fasting and prayer. Our hope is for this experience to anchor us to our purpose as the people of God at The Summit Church.

Week of Prayer

August 22-28, 2021

Following the Holy Spirit, we exist to create a movement of disciple-making disciples in RDU and around the world. This means we rely on the Holy Spirit for all that we do as worshipers, family members, servants, stewards, and witnesses—nothing can be done apart from him.

As we remember all God has brought us through this past year, we’re taking seven days to intentionally reconnect—with God and one another—asking the Holy Spirit for renewed power and provision for all that lies ahead for this next season at the Summit. Would you join us?

More ways to stay involved

It's been said, "Prayer comes first... and second... and third." Prayer is one of the primary ways that we stay connected to God, and it is a crucial discipline in the life of the believer.
